Make Your Own Sugar Scrub

Lately I’ve realized the importance of self-care.  This easy sugar scrub is a life saver in the cold winter months, and you might already have these ingredients on hand. It will help keep your hands moisturized and last all season long. Just three ingredients to make it yourself!

Note:  These also make great gifts around the holidays. Feel free to add essential oils  like lavender, peppermint,  vanilla, or sandalwood.  I’ve even added a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg for a holiday feel that smells great too!

Yield: about 2 cups worth,  around 96 servings (per 1 tsp.)

Ingredients:

1 cup coconut oil

3/4 cup granulated sugar……any type works well. The bigger the grains of sugar the more exfoliating it is on your skin.

1/3 cup canola oil

Preparation:

Mix all into a medium bowl and store in a jar.

To apply use 1 tsp. at a time, rub over hands generously for 15-30 seconds and rinse with warm water and enjoy softer hands in seconds.
